Stash Hotel Rewards Partners with DMI Hotels

We’re honored and pleased to announce a new partnership with DMI Hotels designed to help independent hotels compete against the increasing power of chain hotels.

Stash Hotel Rewards is the largest stand-alone loyalty program for independent hotels. With Stash, travelers can earn free nights, just like at chain hotels, but at a network of over 300 one-of-a-kind, truly independent hotels.  DMI Hotels is an authorized global sales office for a curated collection of independent hotels and resorts. Specializing in meeting and incentive travel, DMI helps over 100 unique hotels stand out and win in this highly competitive market.

"While independent hotels offer an objectively more interesting and exciting experience than cookie-cutter chains, meeting planners are often drawn to the siren call of loyalty points,” said John Gaca, Founder & President of DMI Hotels. “Now, meeting planners can earn those points, and deliver an exceptional venue to their organizations and clients. Everybody wins.”

In the past decade, both DMI and Stash have seen chain hotels expanding their influence in this space introducing soft brands and so-called “independent collections” that use loyalty programs like Bonvoy, Hilton HHonors, and IHG Rewards.

“With all the chain mergers and acquisitions, the group travel business has become even more difficult to crack for independent hotels,” said Jeff Low, Founder of Stash Hotel Rewards. “Services like DMI can level the playing field by offering unprecedented scale and expertise that simply cannot be achieved in-house. This partnership represents a shared commitment to preserving independent travel.”

Through this partnership, DMI Hotel’s members and clients can enjoy preferred rates and terms when they join Stash Hotel Rewards. Likewise, hotels in Stash’s network can now take advantage of many of DMI’s representation services at reduced rates.
